Cupboss is a project dedicated to making menstrual cups and menstrual cycles less intimidating, more affordable, and accessible. Many menstruators turn to menstrual cups due to their sustainability and cost-effectiveness compared to pads and tampons. However, most existing cups fail to address the physical and psychological needs of beginners, often making insertion and removal painful and confusing.

We’ve engineered our menstrual cup to solve these challenges by manufacturing foldable creases in the cup’s walls, allowing users to much more easily fold it into a compact shape during insertion and simplifying the learning process for new users. Additionally, an elongated looped stem ensures easier removal, alleviating common concerns about the cup getting stuck inside the body.

This product has received the Stanford D.school Robert Mckim Award for its innovative design. It is currently in the patenting process.
